News - Proud to be The Dabbers’ - Tuesday 21st July 2009
Book launched to celebrate Dabbers’ 125th anniversary
A new book is set to be launched to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the formation of Nantwich Town Football Club. Available from Friday (24th July), ‘Proud to be The Dabbers’ charts the fortunes of the UniBond Premier League club since it was founded in 1884. Written by former club President Michael Chatwin, the 128 page full colour book is lavishly illustrated and pays tribute to its Victorian pioneers, the characters who have served the club with such dedication over the years and, of course, the players who have worn the club colours with such pride.
Nantwich Football Club kicked off its first season in 1884/85 and from hosting Liverpool’s first ever FA Cup tie back in 1892 to lifting the FA Vase in 2006, most of those 125 years have been filled with incidents and tales. Over the years, the Dabbers have crossed paths with England World Cup winners Alan Ball and Roger Hunt, the legendary Duncan Edwards and pre-war international stars such as Dixie Dean and Alex Jackson. From thrilling FA Cup encounters with Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale to a hat-trick of Cheshire Senior Cup successes, ‘Proud to be The Dabbers’ brings to life the club’s colourful and chequered history.
The book, priced £14, is available from the Club Shop at the Weaver Stadium. The shop will be open for the sale of the book, club merchandise and season tickets on Friday 24th July (10am to 2pm), Saturday 25th July (9am to 1pm) and Tuesday 28th (10am to 2pm).
The book will also be available from the club marquee at Nantwich Show on Wednesday 29th July.

News - Ticket Prices for season 2009-2010 -Saturday 4nd July 2009
Nantwich Town FC is pleased to announce season ticket prices for the forthcoming 2009/10 season in the UniBond Premier League.
The cost of a season ticket has been reduced to:

- £75 (concessions)
- £20 (juniors).
Matchday admission prices have been set at:

Although there is a £1 increase in gate prices for adults and concessions, the club has been keen to reward its regular supporters - in the current economic climate - by reducing the prices for season tickets. With 20 home matches in the UniBond Premier for the coming season, an adult season ticket represents a saving of £45 on turnstile prices.
Season tickets are available from the Club Shop at The Weaver Stadium which will be open every Tuesday and Friday until the start of the season from 10am to 2pm. Payment can be made by cash or cheque.
News - Latest Squad News From The Weaver Stadium - updated Saturday 2nd July 2009
The club can announce that defender Richard Smith and striker Andy Kinsey have officially left to join Vodkat North West Counties Premier Division club Congleton Town. Richard and Andy played a major part in the rise of Nantwich Town from the 1st Division of the North West Counties League to the UniBond 1st Division South including the first season following initial promotion which concluded with promotion to the Premier Division of the UniBond League and victory over Altrincham in the Cheshire Senior Cup. But their involvement was not confined to those achievements – the highlight without doubt being members of ‘The Dabbers’ winning FA Vase team in 2006 and who can possibly forget Andy Kinsey having to be assisted (in agony) from the pitch with a damaged shoulder after celebrating his goal in front of a packed main stand at Birmingham City’s St.Andrews Stadium! Steve Davis, Peter Hall and Clive Jackson, along with all Nantwich officials, wish to convey their sincere thanks for the time they both spent with the club and to know they will always be welcome at The Weaver Stadium.
Meanwhile, ‘Dabbers’ long serving captain and central midfielder Phil Parkinson has declared an ambition to test himself at a higher level of football and is currently training with Blue Square North club Northwich Victoria whilst defender Charlie O’Loughlin has elected to join Ilkeston Town. Charlie is currently studying at Nottingham University and with the Manor Ground Stadium situated closer to his current base the amount of travelling time whilst he completes his studies will be considerably reduced. The club wishes to thank Charlie for his contribution whilst at The Weaver Stadium and wish him and his family the very best for the future.
