The match is the last at The Weaver Stadium in 2008 and as a token of appreciation of the loyal support that has been given to the club throughout the year children accompanied by an adult will be admitted free. In addition, every adult will receive a mince pie courtesy of the club and supplied by Chatwins. As part of their FA Cup coverage BBC TV Sport will be in attendance with their reporters and cameramen who will be travelling with Eastwood to Nantwich and continue filming throughout the afternoon until Saturday’s visitors return home. Eastwood provided one of the shocks in the first round proper by knocking out Wycombe Wanderers and now meet Kettering Town away in the second round on the 3rd of January.

For Nantwich, they are hoping this weekend’s game will attract a bumper attendance and will be looking to avenge the 3 – 1 defeat they suffered at Eastwood back on the 4th of October. Meanwhile, ‘The Dabbers’ will next be in action on Boxing Day when they travel to ‘The Silverlands’ for a league match against Buxton before returning to The Weaver Stadium on New Years Day where Cammell Laird are the visitors in a 3.00pm kick off.

Inaccurate reporting in the Local PressThe Manager of the Nantwich Town Youth Team U18 is Tony Ledwards aided by his assistant Ant Dawson. There have been several reports in the press referring to Martin Stubbs as Manager. Martin is the Youth Development Officer for Nantwich Town and is the Under 17's manager; Martin is acting as a coach to the youth team.
